Increases the household income cap for the full homestead exemption from Pickens County School District ad valorem taxes from $25,000 to $40,000 for senior citizens and disabled residents

Requires a two-thirds majority vote in both the Georgia Senate and House of Representatives to pass, per state constitutional requirements

Mandates a referendum on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November 2026 for Pickens County school district voters to approve or reject the change

If approved by voters, the increased income cap takes effect January 1, 2027; if rejected or the election is not held, the act automatically repeals 365 days after the scheduled election date

Election costs will be borne by Pickens County, and voters may seek a writ of mandamus if the election superintendent fails to conduct the required referendum
