Fayette County Board of Elections to consist of five members, each at least 21 years old, serving four-year terms beginning February 1

Four members appointed by the county governing authority from nominees submitted by the two major political parties (two members from each party), with nominations due at least 40 days before term begins

Fifth member appointed directly by the county governing authority without party nomination, with appointment made at least 30 days before term begins

Current board members continue serving until their existing terms expire; the member previously selected solely by the governing authority will have their successor chosen through the new party nomination process

Two new initial board positions (fourth and fifth members) appointed with terms ending January 31, 2028, with one nominated by each major political party
