Abolishes the elected county surveyor position in Cobb County effective January 1, 2029, transitioning it to an appointed position

Cobb County's governing authority will appoint a qualified person to serve as county surveyor after the abolition date

Appointed county surveyor may serve a term specified in the appointing resolution, or an indefinite term at the pleasure of the governing authority if no term is specified

Appointed surveyors must meet qualifications specified in O.C.G.A. Code Section 36-7-2, paragraph (1) of subsection (b)
