GA HB1606

Creates the new criminal offense of "disruption of a worship service" in Georgia, effective July 1, 2026

Prohibits intentionally entering a church to disrupt services, engaging in unlawful protest/riot/disorderly conduct inside, harassing worship participants, or obstructing access to church property during scheduled worship services

Defines "church" broadly to include any religious society or denomination, as well as church buildings, mosques, synagogues, and other religious real property

Defines "unlawful protest" as three or more individuals gathering with common purpose to create intentional disturbance, interruption, or breach of peace

Penalties include fines up to $5,000, imprisonment of 1-5 years, or both
