Local school systems receiving state funds cannot prohibit "patriotic societies" from using school facilities

"Patriotic society" is defined as youth groups listed in Title 36 of the United States Code, specifically including Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of the United States of America and their affiliated Georgia groups and councils

Stated purpose is to encourage civic education by facilitating student access to patriotic society activities

When a school denies facility access to a patriotic society, the principal must provide written reasons for the denial to the requesting organization

Amends Code Section 20-2-12 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (previously reserved/unused)
