Emergency medical services, including ambulance services, are designated as essential services in Georgia regardless of whether provided by public, private nonprofit, or private for-profit entities

Adds new Code section 31-11-13 to Chapter 11 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated

Does not revise or impact how EMS services are provided through local coordinating entities within territorial zones and health districts

Does not grant any new authority, oversight, or regulatory power to state agencies or local governments
