GA HB222

Amends O.C.G.A. § 17-6-73 to expand required contact information on criminal bonds and recognizances in Georgia

Requires all bonds securing court appearances to include the full name and mailing address of the principal and each surety (existing requirements)

Adds new requirements for email addresses and phone numbers of both the principal and each surety to be entered legibly on the bond

Applies to all bonds or recognizances given to secure appearance in any criminal proceeding

Passed both the Georgia House and Senate in the 2025 legislative session
