Abolishes the elected office of county surveyor in Bartow County and replaces it with an appointed position selected by the county governing authority

Appointed county surveyors will serve one-year terms, with successors also appointed for one-year terms

The current elected county surveyor may complete their existing term, after which no further elections will be held for the position

Appointees must meet qualification requirements specified in O.C.G.A. Code Section 36-7-2(b)(1)

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor or upon becoming law without such approval
