Creates a grant program through the Department of Community Health to fund backup generators for rural hospitals to maintain operations during declared states of emergency

Eligible hospitals must be acute care facilities with fewer than 100 beds, located in rural counties with populations under 50,000, in regions where the Governor declared a state of emergency after July 1, 2024

Department of Community Health must consult with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency to establish grant criteria and make award decisions

Priority given to affected rural hospitals that currently lack backup generators and the means to install them

Grant amounts determined on a case-by-case basis, subject to appropriations by the General Assembly or other available funding
