Amends Georgia's athletic trainer regulations to update the definition of "athletic injury" to include any condition resulting from activities requiring physical strength, agility, flexibility, range of motion, speed, or stamina

Requires athletic training students in accredited programs to be under the direct supervision of a physician or licensed athletic trainer, meaning the supervisor must be physically present and immediately available

Changes license applicant requirements from completing "curriculum requirements of a college or university" to graduating from an accredited educational program that prepares athletic trainers, or submitting equivalent credentials approved by the board

Updates the board's role from preparing and conducting certification examinations to approving certification examinations for license applicants

Removes the grandfathering provision that allowed persons licensed prior to July 1, 2004 to remain qualified without proof of graduation, and updates the certifying body name to "Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer"
