State and local officials or employees who knowingly and willfully violate Georgia laws against concealing, harboring, or shielding illegal aliens guilty of criminal offenses commit an unlawful act

Violators face prosecution by the Attorney General and potential removal and replacement by the Governor, in addition to existing criminal penalties

Removes previous exemptions that protected government employees who harbored illegal aliens who were crime victims, witnesses in legal proceedings, or held in detention facilities

Amends Code Section 16-11-201 of the Official Code of Georgia relating to offenses involving illegal aliens
