Authorizes the Magistrate Court of Cook County to charge a technology fee up to $5.00 for each civil action filing, with the exact amount set by the chief magistrate

Fee revenue restricted to court technology needs: computer hardware/software purchases, equipment leasing and maintenance, and imaging/scanning/communications/printing systems

Collected funds must be maintained in a segregated account by the court clerk, subject to audit by a county-approved auditor

Fee authority terminates on July 1, 2030, with residual funds dedicated to general Cook County technology uses

Chief magistrate may declare a surplus once annually and transfer excess funds to the Cook County governing authority
