Effective January 1, 2026, mobile food and beverage vehicles that primarily conduct sales while stopped on roadways must install a triangular yellow signal arm on the left side displaying "caution," "slow," or "children"

Vehicles must also display a rear-mounted sign of at least 3 square feet warning that the vehicle makes frequent stops

Department of Public Safety is authorized to adopt rules and regulations to implement these requirements

Applies specifically to ice cream trucks and similar mobile food vendors operating on public roadways
