GA HB39

Authorizes the Magistrate Court of Habersham County to charge a technology fee up to $10.00 for each civil case filing and up to $10.00 as a surcharge on each fine assessed by the court

Funds must be used exclusively for court technology needs including computer hardware/software, audio-visual equipment, data storage, remote access systems, cloud-based document platforms, and cybersecurity insurance

Collected fees must be maintained in a segregated account by the court clerk and used only for authorized technology purposes

Fee authority terminates on July 1, 2044, with any remaining funds dedicated to general Habersham County technology uses

Repeals the previous technology fee act for this court approved April 22, 2024 (Ga. L. 2024, p. 3614)
