Effective July 1, 2027, persons 16 years or older must possess a Georgia turkey permit to hunt turkey in addition to required hunting licenses

Georgia residents receive the turkey permit at no cost; nonresidents pay $100.00 annually

The Department of Natural Resources must design and sell a voluntary collectible Georgia turkey stamp by July 1, 2027, with fees set by the board

All fees collected from turkey permits and stamps are retained by the department

Amends Title 27, Chapter 2 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated regarding hunting licenses and permits
