Renames "low THC oil" to "medical cannabis" throughout Georgia law and increases the possession limit from 20 fluid ounces to 2.5 ounces of medical cannabis or equivalent products

Removes severity requirements for qualifying conditions (e.g., eliminates "severe or end stage" language for diseases like Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, and sickle cell) and adds lupus as a qualifying condition

Creates a catch-all qualifying condition category for any condition where opioids could be prescribed, where a physician determines medical benefit is likely, or where a patient is receiving hospice care

Expands the definition of "caregiver" to include designated adults willing to assist patients with purchasing and administering medical cannabis, and healthcare institutions that agree to allow patient use on premises

Repeals the prohibition on certain methods of ingesting medical cannabis and excludes lawful possession of medical cannabis from the Georgia Controlled Substances Act
