Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and physician assistants (PAs) are authorized to order home healthcare services for patients of home health agencies, expanding authority previously limited to physicians

Providers ordering home health services are prohibited from having an ownership interest in the entity to which they are referring patients, preventing self-referral conflicts

APRNs and PAs must complete biennial continuing education on recognition and documentation of causes of death and proper execution of death certificates

Tax credits for qualified caregiving expenses are expanded to include services ordered by APRNs and PAs, not just physicians

Home health agency regulations and definitions are updated throughout Georgia Code (Titles 16, 31, 43, and 48) to include APRNs and PAs as authorized ordering providers alongside physicians
