Removes the prohibition on elected/appointed officials and employees of political subdivisions from voluntarily acquiring property interests in designated redevelopment areas

Eliminates the requirement that officials with pre-existing property interests (acquired within 2 years before plan submission) must recuse themselves from participating in government actions affecting that property

Requires officials and employees who acquire any property interest in a redevelopment area to immediately disclose that interest in writing to the local legislative body, with the disclosure entered into official minutes

Maintains that contracts or transactions where required disclosure is not made shall be voidable by the local legislative body

Failure to comply with disclosure requirements continues to constitute misconduct in office
