Establishes new minimum salary schedule for Georgia coroners based on county population, ranging from $17,700 (counties under 6,000) to $105,000 (counties of 500,000+), using 2020 census data, effective January 1, 2027

Deputy coroners entitled to at least $250 per death investigation performed in place of the coroner, plus $100 per diem for non-case days (capped at 90 days annually), subject to county budget approval

Coroners who work at least 2,080 hours annually and whose office conducts 100+ death investigations must receive the same employment benefits as other county officers (clerk of superior court, probate judge, sheriff, tax commissioner)

Removes the per-call death investigation fee previously paid to coroners, replacing it with the new salary structure; coroner salaries will increase by 5% for each completed four-year term after December 31, 2024

Creates optional county health plan coverage for retiring county officers (ages 55-65) with 16+ years of service, with counties paying 75% of premiums until age 65 if they adopt the provision by ordinance
