Amends Georgia Code Section 8-2-4 to authorize local governments (political subdivisions) to adopt fire sprinkler ordinances requiring fire sprinklers in one- and two-family dwellings

Maintains the existing prohibition that the state residential and fire building code cannot require fire sprinklers in single-family homes or residential buildings with two or fewer dwelling units (prohibition in effect since May 24, 2010)

Removes the restriction that previously prevented local jurisdictions from including fire sprinkler requirements in their locally-adopted residential and fire building codes

Shifts regulatory authority by allowing cities and counties to impose fire sprinkler mandates that exceed state minimum requirements for residential construction
