Nine-member board of directors appointed by Georgia General Assembly members representing Chatham County, including 3 music producers/artists/managers, 2 venue owners/music business leaders, 2 arts organization representatives, and 2 city commission members/tourism officials

Board members serve three-year terms with a two consecutive term limit; a majority constitutes a quorum

Commission granted broad powers including contracting for services, acquiring and disposing of property, entering into lease agreements up to 50 years, accepting federal grants and donations, and employing staff without public bidding requirements

Commission designated as a public charity exempt from taxes and assessments on its property and activities; legal actions against the commission must be filed in Superior Court of Chatham County
