Establishes a mandatory 50 mph minimum speed limit on Interstate highways and Georgia Highway 400 where the posted speed limit is 65 mph or greater

Applies specifically to controlled-access highways that are part of the Dwight D. Eisenhower System of Interstate and Defense Highways

Retains existing exceptions allowing slower driving when necessary for safe operation

Preserves current authority for commissioners of public safety and transportation or local authorities to set minimum speed limits on other roads based on engineering and traffic investigations

Effective date: July 1, 2027
