Grants a $40,000 homestead exemption from Jasper County school district ad valorem taxes for educational purposes to residents aged 65 or older, with the exemption limited to no more than five contiguous acres of homestead property

Requires a referendum on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November 2025, with the exemption taking effect January 1, 2026 if approved by more than half of voters

Replaces an existing $2,000 homestead exemption for seniors who previously qualified under the 1992 Act, with automatic enrollment for those already receiving that exemption

Exemption automatically renews annually and transfers to surviving spouses who continue to occupy the home as their residence

Does not affect state, county, municipal, or independent school district ad valorem taxes; election costs to be borne by Jasper County
