Corporations owning single-family dwellings (1-4 units) must submit annual reports to the state auditor starting December 31, 2025, including property addresses, purchase prices, assessed values, and ownership interests

The Department of Community Affairs must create a public portal listing corporate ownership of single-family homes by county, updated annually by March 31

Corporations must divest single-family home holdings on a phased schedule: 80% of July 1, 2025 holdings by end of 2026, 60% by 2027, 40% by 2028, 20% by 2029, and complete divestment by December 31, 2030

Violations carry a $750,000 fine per single-family dwelling owned in excess of permitted amounts or after the 2030 deadline

Exemptions include nonprofit LLCs, entities solely engaged in home construction/rehabilitation, and unoccupied residences acquired through foreclosure; applies to entities owning more than 20 single-family dwellings
