Requires all persons providing tree care services for compensation to obtain a license from the Georgia Department of Agriculture

Tree care services include pruning, repairing, cabling, bracing, and removing trees, as well as work involving rigging, climbing, cranes, aerial lifts, or work near utility lines and structures

Authorizes the Department to establish regulations covering licensing requirements, safety standards, consumer protection measures, ethics standards, and license renewal/suspension procedures

Caps licensing and renewal fees at $250.00 per license; Department may conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and impose penalties for violations

Exempts contractors performing utility line clearance work for power companies and individuals helping neighbors or storm victims without compensation
