GA HB952

Increases the Bulloch County Board of Elections and Registration from three members to five members, all appointed by the county governing authority

Requires one member be appointed after considering up to five nominations from the political party whose gubernatorial candidate received the most votes statewide; a second member appointed similarly from the party with the second-most gubernatorial votes

Grants the county governing authority sole discretion to reject all nominees from party lists if it determines none are suitable, and allows direct appointment of three members without party nominations

Existing three board members as of January 1, 2027 continue serving their current terms with future four-year terms; two new party-nominated members serve initial one-year terms (January 1 - December 31, 2027) before transitioning to four-year terms

Effective July 1, 2026 for appointing additional members; fully effective January 1, 2027
