Law enforcement must demonstrate that locating the child is necessary to complete an open child abuse investigation to obtain the order

Same court order authority extends to cases involving disabled adults, elder persons, or residents under investigation for exploitation or intimidation

Jurisdiction for the locate order lies with the superior court of the county where the victim's last known address was located

Amends O.C.G.A. Code Sections 16-5-70 (cruelty to children) and 16-5-102 (exploitation of disabled/elder persons)
