Ratifies amendments to Georgia's comprehensive state-wide water management plan adopted by the Water Council on December 9, 2025

The original water management plan was first ratified in February 2008; the Water Council reconvened on September 29, 2025 to consider these amendments

Amendments were submitted to the General Assembly on January 12, 2026 pursuant to O.C.G.A. Code Section 12-5-525

The amended plan is nonstatutory, meaning any conflicts with current or future statutes enacted by the General Assembly will be resolved in favor of the statute

Becomes effective upon Governor's approval or upon becoming law without such approval
