Nearly half of people 65 years and older who had a limb amputated due to PAD died within one year of surgery

Proposed early detection measures include establishing a patient registry, launching public awareness campaigns, offering training grants, and providing facility incentives

Directs distribution of the resolution to the Governor, Commissioner of Insurance, commissioners of public health and community health, and all members of the Georgia General Assembly
