Recognizes and commends Don Koehler upon his retirement as Executive Director of the Georgia Peanut Commission, a position he held since 1986, making him the longest-serving director since the Commission's establishment in 1961

Georgia's peanut farmers produce approximately half of all peanuts grown in the United States; the Commission conducts research, education, promotion, and advocacy programs

During his tenure, Koehler oversaw construction of a new office and education center, secured funding for farmers affected by Hurricane Michael, and helped pass a five-year farm bill benefiting rural South Georgia

Koehler serves on multiple advisory bodies including the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Tobacco, Cotton, and Peanuts (advising USDA and U.S. Trade Representative), the Southern Peanut Growers management team, and the Southeastern Peanut Farmer magazine board

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to Don Koehler
