Georgia House Resolution 1211 recognizes and commends Councilwoman Alecia Washington of Stonecrest for her outstanding public service and leadership

Washington founded City of Hope Safe Haven, a non-profit organization that has provided food and clothing distributions, housing initiatives, and resource programs to more than 10,000 Stonecrest residents

She has partnered with organizations including the Department of Homeland Security's Community Emergency Response Team, The Los Angeles Dream Center, American Association of Christian Counselors, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, National Action Network, and The New Black Wall Street Market

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to Alecia Washington
