Founded in 1925 by Frank Thomas Nixon and Reverend Jake Parson as Nixon and Parson Undertaking Co., serving African American families in Tift County and surrounding areas

The business has operated through three generations of the Nixon family, including five licensed funeral directors: Frank T. Nixon, Solomon Nixon Sr., Ann Lovett Nixon, Ronald Keith Nixon, and Solomon Nixon Jr.

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to the funeral home
