Authorizes payment of $1,691,280.00 to Mr. Sedrick Moore for wrongful imprisonment of more than 21 years following his 2002 conviction for rape, armed robbery, burglary, and firearm offenses in Colquitt County

Mr. Moore was convicted primarily based on testimony from co-defendant Tyrone White (who received a lenient sentence deal) and DNA evidence later proven incorrect through new Georgia Bureau of Investigation testing methods adopted in 2018

Payment structure includes an initial lump sum of $558,122.40, with the remainder placed in a commercial annuity account paying equal monthly installments over ten years beginning in 2026

Mr. Moore was officially exonerated on August 28, 2023, when the State entered a nolle prosequi order dismissing all charges after a Colquitt County Superior Court judge granted his Extraordinary Motion for New Trial

Compensation is excluded from state income tax, and payments continue to Moore's estate or heirs upon his death; the State receives credit against this amount for any damages Moore recovers in related lawsuits
