Georgia House Resolution 1411 formally recognizes and commends the Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Association for its past, present, and future work supporting communication health in the state

The association represents speech-language pathologists (SLPs), audiologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists who provide screenings, evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and management for hearing losses, communication disorders, and swallowing disorders

Members serve vulnerable populations through Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids, and Babies Can't Wait programs

Association members work across diverse settings including hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, schools (pre-K through grade 12), universities, private practices, and military facilities

The Clerk of the House is directed to provide an appropriate copy of the resolution to the Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Association
