Carolyn Wright served 32 years at Central High School in Phenix City as head girls track and volleyball coach, compiling a 593-375 record with 11 area titles, four regional championships, and four Final Four appearances

Bobby Wright coached at Central High School for over 44 years, including as head basketball coach (1989-2021) with a 675-223 record, 19 area championships, seven regional titles, and seven Final Four appearances

Bobby Wright also served as football defensive coordinator for 26 seasons (59 shutouts, 10.8 points per game average allowed) and as athletic director for Phenix City Schools from 1998 to 2020

The couple was jointly inducted into the AHSAA Hall of Fame in 2020 as Alabama's winningest husband-and-wife coaching duo
