Recognizes and commends Judge Phinia Aten, Chief Judge of the Magistrate Court of Rockdale County, for her distinguished judicial service to Georgia

In 2012, Judge Aten became the first African American woman to serve as a judge in the Rockdale Judicial Circuit

Implemented evidence-based court programs including family violence assessments, behavioral health assessments, and mental health stabilization protocols that reduced recidivism rates in the Rockdale Judicial Circuit

Served as inaugural president of NewRock Legal Society, a minority bar association serving Rockdale, Newton, and Walton Counties, and currently serves as District Five Director for the National Association of Women Judges

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to Judge Aten
