Received the HeLP Legal Services Clinic Award for advocacy on behalf of children and families at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and helped secure dismissal of criminal charges for a wrongfully incarcerated individual

Georgia State University College of Law posthumously awarded her a Juris Doctor degree with a Certificate in Public Interest Law and Policy at May 2023 commencement

Her legacy continues through the Alex Patafio Public Interest Leadership Award, the Class of 2023 Alex Patafio Scholarship for future public interest advocates, and the Alex Patafio Foundation focused on eliminating alcohol-related fatalities
