Georgia House of Representatives commends The Claxton Enterprise newspaper for more than 100 years of service to the community

The Claxton Enterprise was established in December 1912, predating the creation of Evans County, Georgia by nearly two years (August 1914)

Current editor and publisher Mickey Peace leads the newspaper, which has received numerous awards including the Georgia Press Association's Freedom of Information award in 2003

Clerk of the House is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to The Claxton Enterprise
