Founded Poole Brothers Construction Company in Atlanta in 1963, which developed the Baker Hills, Bakersferry Road, and Dollar Mill subdivisions in Southwest Atlanta, two Baptist churches, The Hillendale Estates (30-home development in Fayetteville), and a subdivision in Peachtree City for Black Pilots

After the company dissolved in the late 1970s, established Building and Refurbishing business with his wife, handling contracts with Bank of America and Red Wine Bank until retirement in 2000

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to Ivey Joe Poole
