Recognizes and commends Fire Chief Tim Sweat for 37 years of service in the fire service, including his official appointment as Fire Chief of Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services on January 7, 2025

Chief Sweat began as a volunteer with Jonesboro Fire Department in 1989 and joined Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services in January 1999, rising through ranks from Firefighter/EMT to Lieutenant, Captain (2008), Deputy Chief (2010), Assistant Chief (2011), and Interim Fire Chief (March 2023)

Holds an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science, Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration, and graduated from the National Fire Academy's Financial Management Program

Certified as a Georgia Certified Emergency Manager, NPQ Firefighter III, and Haz-Mat Technician with additional private sector management experience

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to Chief Tim Sweat
