Career included work at Ford Motor Company, operating a family gas station, teaching Autobody and Fender at Macon Tech, serving as Assistant Pastor at Beulahland Baptist Church, and retiring from Warner Robins Air Force Base

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to Reverend Herring's family
