Honors Reverend Mitchell, who led Connor's Temple Baptist Church in Savannah beginning in 1974 and organized the Martin Luther King, Jr., Observance Day Association in 1980

Recognizes his role in establishing Savannah's first Kingfest and MLK parade, and his efforts to name a major Savannah street after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Directs the Department of Transportation to erect and maintain appropriate signage at the intersection
