Georgia House Resolution congratulates Dr. Beverly Griffin Patton for receiving the 2026 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award, presented annually by the Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus during Women's History Month

Dr. Patton served as NAACP Membership Chair and Lifetime Member, and held positions including Vice-President of Acworth's Historic Preservation Committee, Member of Acworth's Development Authority, and Vice-President of the Old Rosenwald Community Center

Assisted Kennesaw State University in archiving more than 500 photographs documenting Black life in Acworth and contributed to writing "A Place to Remember"

Served Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Acworth for 37 years as Church Clerk and in various roles before becoming an Ordained Minister; holds a PhD in Christian Education from Antioch College

Award is named for Representative Nikki T. Randall, who in 1999 became the first African American woman elected to the Georgia General Assembly from middle Georgia and served 17 years
