Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. was founded November 12, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana, by seven educators and incorporated as a national collegiate sorority on December 30, 1929

The sorority is the only organization in the National Pan-Hellenic Council not founded at Howard University

The organization has more than 500 international chapters and over 100,000 collegiate and professional women members

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to the sorority
