Recognizes and commends Robert McNeill (Neill) Herring for 47 years of lobbying service at the Georgia General Assembly since 1980

Herring has served as principal lobbyist for the Sierra Club since 1989, also representing Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and the Georgia Water Coalition

Key legislative accomplishments include helping pass HB 1443 in 1994 creating the Office of State Administrative Hearings, the Landowners Bill of Rights in 2006, MARTA funding legislation in 2015, and a constitutional amendment dedicating Hazardous and Solid Waste Trust Funds in 2020-2021

Successfully defeated major road projects including the Georgia Outer Perimeter and Northern Arc, as well as efforts to undermine Georgia's riparian rights system in 2003 and 2013

Directs the Clerk of the House to provide a copy of the resolution to Neill Herring
