Urges renaming Grady Memorial Hospital to Grady-Bell Memorial Hospital to honor Dr. Roy Charles Bell Sr., one of Atlanta's first Black dentists and a civil rights activist

Dr. Bell led the legal effort resulting in the 1962 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Bell v. Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority, which forced desegregation of Grady Memorial Hospital and other public hospitals receiving federal funds

Notes that the hospital's current namesake, Henry Grady, promoted white supremacy and opposed Black political and social equality despite his influence in shaping the "New South"

Resolution is non-binding, urging appropriate governing authorities to take steps to implement the name change

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to distribute copies of the resolution to the public and press
