Designates February 14, 2026, as Sally FitzGerald Day at the Georgia state capitol to honor her life and legacy following her death on February 11, 2025, at age 87

Sally FitzGerald served as treasurer for the 1984 campaign that restored elected representation to the Fulton County Board of Education after more than a century of appointed leadership

Advocated for the incorporation of the City of Sandy Springs, contributing to the successful 2005 referendum that created one of Georgia's largest newly formed municipalities

Held leadership positions including President of Sandy Springs Middle School PTA and President of the North Fulton Council of PTAs, and represented Georgia PTA and League of Women Voters through Capitol Watch legislative advocacy

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to the FitzGerald family
