Creates a House Study Committee on the Assessment and Collection of Fees by Local Governments, composed of 5 members appointed by the Speaker of the House

Committee will study laws, policies, and procedures used by Georgia counties and municipalities to assess and collect fees, particularly in light of recent litigation against local governments over fee practices

Legislative members receive allowances per Code Section 28-1-8 for up to 5 days unless additional days are authorized, funded through House of Representatives appropriations

Committee must file any report with findings or proposed legislation with the Clerk of the House, approved by majority vote of a quorum

Committee stands abolished on December 15, 2026
