Georgia House Resolution 1849 recognizes and commends the Atlanta Lady Hawks senior women's basketball team, a nonprofit organization serving women athletes over 50 in three age divisions (50-54, 55-59, and 60-64)

At the 2025 National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa, the 50-54 team won gold, the 55-59 team placed 6th, and the 60-64 team placed 4th out of 29 teams

In 2024, the team won gold medals at the Crescent Court Classic at Tulane University, the South Carolina Sports Classic State Games, and the Florida Senior Games

The 55-59 team went undefeated to win both the 2022 Georgia Golden Olympics and 2022 Florida Senior Games

The resolution extends best wishes for the team's success at the 2027 Senior Basketball Olympics and directs the Clerk to provide a copy to the team
