Creates a 15-member House Study Committee on Modernizing the Discovery Process through the Use of New Technologies, appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives

Committee will examine how prosecutors currently receive, store, and release digital evidence during discovery, and evaluate systems the state could purchase to reduce inefficiencies

Membership includes legislators from House Judiciary committees, county district attorneys, state court solicitors, and designees from the Supreme Court of Georgia, Court of Appeals, Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Prosecuting Attorneys' Council, and State Bar of Georgia

Committee may hold no more than four meetings and must file its final report with the Clerk of the House of Representatives before abolishment on December 1, 2026

Final report shall be made publicly available to inform future legislative and regulatory action
